Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes January 3, 2011 Page 7 of 9 Approve Bob Bieniek as Regular Firefighter on the Hugo Fire Department Fire Chief Jim Compton has received notice that Bob Bieniek has completed his training requirements during his probationary period and recommends he be promoted from probationary status and be given the rank of Firefighter with the Hugo Fire Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the status of Firefighter for Bob Bieniek on the Hugo Fire Department. Approve Final Pay Request from Rum River Contracting for TH61/130 Street Intersection Proiect The City of Hugo has received the Final Pay Request from Rum River Contracting for the construction of the TH61/130th Street intersection project. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff has reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the final pay request from Rum River Contracting in the amount of $65,453.53 for construction of the TH61/130th Street intersection project Approve Three Year Extension of Auditing Services With Smith Schafer & Associates The independent accounting firm of Smith Schafer & Associates has performed the annual audit of City finances for the past eight years. Their contract with the City will expire after the 2010 audit is completed. Finance Director Ron Otkin has been working with Smith Schafer on a three-year contract extension proposal. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved a three year contract extension with Smith Schafer & Associates for auditing services subject to the terms outlined in their proposal. Approve Pay Request No. 2 from Northdale Construction for 125th Street Watermain Extension Proiect The City of Hugo has received Pay Request No. 2 from Northdale Construction for construction of the 125th Street Watermain Extension Project. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 2 from Northdale Construction in the amount of $9,613.26 for work completed to date on the 125th Street Watermain on the Extension Project. Schedule Annual Goal Setting Session Annually, the Hugo City Council schedules a Goal Setting Session at which it sets the City's annual focus goals with participation from City staff and City Commissions who have prepared their annual commission goals. Haas made motion, Weidt seconded, to schedule the Annual Goal Setting Session for Tuesday, January 18, 2011 following the regular City Council meeting. All Ayes. Motion carried.
