Hugo City Council Minutes for April 19, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />Approve 3.2 Temporary Beer License for Hugo Lions Club for Good Neighbor Days June <br />10-13,2010 <br />The City has received an application from the Hugo Lions Club for a Temporary 3.2 Liquor <br />License in order for the Lions to sell 3.2 beer at Hugo Good Neighbor Days scheduled for June <br />10-13, 2010. City staff has reviewed the application and found it to be satisfactorily complete <br />with the submittal of the necessary liquor liability insurance coverage which names the City of <br />Hugo as an additional insured. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Temporary 3.2 <br />Liquor License for the Hugo Lions so they can sell 3.2 beer at Hugo Good Neighbor Days on <br />June 10-13, 2010. <br />Approve Resolution Approving Demolition of the Old Antique Store <br />Staff has recently met with Mike and Catherine Anderson and their attorney to discuss the future <br />of the property at 14583 Forest Blvd. N. City staff has been encouraging the Andersons to <br />demolish the Antique Store building because of its blighted and unsafe condition. At its April 5, <br />2010 meeting, the Council discussed an assessment agreement whereby the building would be <br />demolished, and the cost of the demolition would be incurred by the City and spread against the <br />property to be paid back over ten years with interest. Council directed staff to draft a resolution <br />formally approving the demolition of the old antique store. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved RESOLUTION NO. 2010-13 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUGO, <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, ADOPTING ASSESSMENT. <br />Approve Resolution to Apply for Grants for Monitoring Wells <br />At its September 17, 2009 meeting, Council discussed permitting requirements associated <br />with future Well No. 6 to be located off 125th Street North. As part of the permit requirements <br />of the MN DNR, the City is required to install monitoring wells for which there is a grant <br />program available through the Legislative — Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources <br />Appropriations (LCCMR). Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION NO. <br />2010 -14 SUPPORTING REQUEST FOR THE LEGISLATIVE — CITIZEN COMMISSION <br />ON MINNESOTA RESOURCES APPROPRIATIONS (LCCMR) FROM THE <br />ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST FUND FOR GROUNDWATER <br />MONITORING. <br />Approve Award of Bid for 2010 Gravel Proiect <br />At its March 1, 2010 meeting, the Hugo City Council authorized City staff to advertise for the <br />award of bid for the 2010 graveling project. Bids were received and opened on Friday, April 16, <br />2010 for this contract. The City received three bids, and Dresel Contracting was the low bidder <br />at $7.87 per ton of Class 5 aggregate. The total project cost was estimated to be $86,042.00. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the award of bid for the 2010 graveling project <br />to Dresel Contracting at $7.87 per ton. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
