Minutes for the City Council Meeting October 18, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br />Approve Resolution to Get LiDAR Aerial Photography from Rice Creek Watershed <br />District <br />The City of Hugo has been informed that the Rice Creek Watershed District has collected Light <br />Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) topographical data in the fall of 2008. This information will be <br />used by the RCWD to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, aid in permit reviews, and as <br />a general resource management tool. Cities can obtain LiDAR data from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District at no cost. Interested parties are requested to fill out an application which <br />includes a License Agreement and LiDAR request form. A signed license agreement is required <br />to obtain LiDAR data along with a resolution from the governing body requesting the data. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2010-50 APPROVING THE <br />LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT FOR LiDAR <br />PRODUCTS. <br />Approve Resolution Supporting Forest Lake School District Operating Levy and Bond <br />Referendum <br />At its October 4, 2010 meeting, the Council listened to a presentation from Forest Lake resident <br />Laurie Kumerow who requested an opportunity to introduce herself and the Forest Lakes Yes for <br />Schools Group, which is supporting the upcoming levy referendum for the Forest Lake School <br />District. Council had directed staff to prepare a resolution supporting the levy for the Forest <br />Lake School District. Staff recommends Council approve the resolution supporting the Forest <br />Lake School District operating levy and bond referendum. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved RESOLUTION 2010-51 SUPPORTING THE PROPOSED FOREST LAKE <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT LEVY AND BOND REFERENDUM. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to direct staff to send a copy of the resolution to the local <br />newspapers. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Revised Fire Department Organizational Chart <br />With the retirement of Deputy Jadon 011ila and the appointment of Kevin Colvard as the new <br />deputy fire chief, Fire Chief Jim Compton has proposed changes to the Fire Department's <br />Leadership Team and Organizational Chart. City staff has reviewed the changes and found them <br />to be satisfactory for members on the department and their new leadership roles. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the revisions to the Fire Department Organizational Chart. <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse <br />The City hired Anna Wobse as the City's new Accounting Clerk on October 27, 2008. Over the <br />past two years, Anna has worked under the direction of Finance Director Ron Otkin in accounts <br />payable and payroll functions. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual <br />performance review for Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse. <br />
