Renner & Sons, Inc for Construction of Well <br />No. 6 <br />The City of Hugo has received Pay Request No. 6 from E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. for work <br />completed to date on the construction of Well No. 6. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff <br />and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for <br />work completed to date on the new well. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay <br />Request No. 6 in the amount of $39,987.88 from E.H. Renner & Sons for the construction of <br />Well No. 6. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 9 from Arnt Construction for TH61/147th Street Intersection <br />Proiect <br />The City of Hugo has received Pay Request No. 9 from Arnt Construction for work completed to <br />date on the TH61/147th Street Intersection Improvement Project. Senior Engineering Technician <br />Steve Duff has reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to <br />date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 7 to Arnt <br />Construction in the amount of $ 79,602.46 for work completed to date on the TH61/147th Street <br />Intersection Improvement Project. <br />Approve Authorization to Conduct Natural Resource/Land Use Study of Eastern Hugo <br />Councilmember Haas removed this from the Council agenda. At the City Council meeting of <br />September 20, 2010, Council approved a grant agreement with the Minnesota DNR Community <br />Conservation Assistance (CCA) Program for $25,125 in funding to be used for a study of eastern <br />Hugo to determine what areas should be served by sewer. The total estimated cost of the expanded <br />project would be $34,000 with the remaining $8,875 to be paid with in-kind services or local <br />funding match. At that meeting, Council also directed staff to prepare a list of partners for the <br />City's cost share for the DNR CCA grant for the proposed future development of eastern Hugo. <br />Rice Creek Watershed District and Brown's Creek Watershed District have agreed to fund the <br />project based on the percentage of land in each of the districts in the project study area. <br />Councilmember Haas questioned whether Carnelian -Marine -St. Croix Watershed District had <br />agreed to the partnership. Community Development Bryan Bear indicated staff was continuing to <br />work with them and would keep the Council informed of their decision. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded, to authorize the City Engineer to begin the study of natural <br />resources/land use in eastern Hugo. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />(Councilmember Weidt left at 7:39 p.m.) <br />Approve Bid Award for Watermain Extension Proiect for Well No. 6 <br />On October 7, 2010, the City of Hugo opened bids for the construction of the watermain <br />extension project for Well No. 6. City Engineer Jay Kennedy and Public Works Director Scott <br />Anderson were pleased with the total of eight bidders on the project. The apparent low bidder is <br />Northdale Construction in the amount of $130,998.35. The Engineer's Estimate for the project <br />was $160,957. <br />
