Minutes for the Hugo City Council Meeting on November 1, 2010 <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve RESOLUTION NO. 2010- 55 <br />AUTHORIZING THE CALL OF THE OUTSTANDING TAXABLE GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION TAX INCREMENT BONDS,SERIES 2000A and directed staff to send notice of <br />this information to Washington County and the White Bear Lake School District. <br />Ayes: Haas, Weidt, Klein, Petryk, Miron <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Discussion on Auto Dismantling License for ARK <br />The City of Hugo has received an application for the bi-annual Auto Dismantling License from <br />Dan Stewart, dba Auto Recycling Kompany (ARK), which staff had found to be incomplete. As <br />a requirement of the license, the City requires a complete application as well as compliance with <br />City, County, and State code. The current Auto Dismantling License for ARK expires on <br />November 3, 2010. On Friday, October 29, 2010 staff met with owner of ARK, Daniel Stewart <br />and received the additional information required, which made the application complete. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the bi-annual Auto Dismantling License for <br />Auto Recycling Kompany, which will expire in 2012. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Discussion on Dog Bite Appeal — Thomas Schwartz <br />The City of Hugo received notice from the Washington County Sheriff's Department stating that <br />they had labeled Thomas Schwartz' dog Mac as a potentially dangerous dog. The dog is a three <br />year old male yellow lab that, according to the Police report on September 12, 2010, lunged at <br />and punctured the leg of a resident who was walking by Mr. Schwartz's home located at 5980 <br />Oneka Lake Boulevard. Staff had been in contact with the Deputy as well as the victim. Dog <br />owner Tom Schwartz has appealed the potentially dangerous dog designation, and attended this <br />meeting along with his brother and his father Marty Schwartz. <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to treat Mac as a potentially dangerous dog until the appeal <br />could again be considered after the revisions to the Animal Ordinance have been completed. <br />Petryk withdrew the motion, and Klein withdrew the second. <br />Petryk made motion, Weidt seconded, to remove the designation of Mac as a potentially <br />dangerous dog. <br />Ayes: Petryk, Weidt <br />Nays: Klein, Haas, Miron <br />Motion failed. <br />
