Approve Authorization to Advertise for Vacancy on the Economic Development Authority (EDA) At its December 15, 2008 meeting, the Hugo City Council accepted the resignation from Councilmember elect Phil Klein from the EDA. Consistent with City policy the City Council should authorize staff to advertise for the vacancy on the EDA. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the authorization to staff to advertise for the vacancy on the EDA for the position held by former EDA Commissioner Phil Klein Approve Pay Request No .1 from Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. for Test Well No. 6 Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. has submitted Pay Request No. 1 to the City of Hugo for work completed to date on Test Well No. 6. Public Works Director Scott Anderson has reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Pay Request No. 1 from Bergerson-Caswell, Inc in the amount of $39,533.77 for work completed to date on the construction of Test Well No. 6 Approve Reappointment of Historical Commissioners The terms of six members on the Historical Commission expired on December 31, 2008. All six members are interested in serving another term. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the reappointment of Kitty Cheesebrow for a three-year term to expire on December 31, 2011, and Marvella Gamboni, Joyce Granger, Cynthia Schoonover, Kathy Brevig, and Trina Oswald for two-year terms to expire on December 31, 2010. Approve Animal Control Service Contract for 2009 Richard Ruzicka, dba Animal Control Services (ASC), has been providing the City of Hugo animal control services for the past several years and has provided excellent service to the community. ASC is requesting to continue to provide service to the City of Hugo for the year 2009. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Animal Control Service Contract for 2009 with ASC. Approve Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Agreement for Bald Eagle Lake For many years, the City has participated in supplemental law enforcement coverage on Bald Eagle Lake with the County of Ramsey and the Town of White Bear Lake. Coverage for 2009 would include a total not to exceed 160 hours for winter patrol coverage at a cost of services to the City for year 2009 not to exceed $1,617. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Supplemental Law Enforcement Agreement with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department for enforcement on Bald Eagle Lake. Approve Hugo Fire Department Chain of Command for 2009 Fire Chief Jim Compton provided the Council with a copy of the Chain of Command for the Hugo Fire Department for 2009.
