Motion carried. <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Hire of Shayla Severson as the Economic Development/Parks Department Intern <br />At its March 16, 2009 meeting, the Hugo City Council authorized staff to advertise for the new <br />intern position which would work with the Economic Development Authority on its Business <br />Retention and Expansion Program as well as the Parks and Recreation Commission and its <br />parks/recreation programming subcommittee. The City of Hugo received a total of 12 <br />applicants, and interviews were conducted of ten applicants for first-round interview and four <br />second round interviews which were completed on Thursday, April 23, 2009. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda appointed Shayla Syverson as the new Economic Development/Parks <br />Department Intern for a six-month internship beginning Monday, May 11, 2009 at an hourly rate <br />of $10.00 per hour. <br />
