Hugo City Council Meeting May 4, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 9 <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Community Development Director Bryan Bear <br />Bryan Bear was hired by the City of Hugo on May 3, 2004 as the City's new Community <br />Development Director. Bryan demonstrates an excellent work ethic and outstanding level of <br />professionalism as the City's Community Development Director responsible for all economic <br />development and community development activities in the City of Hugo. Bryan's dedication and <br />commitment to ensuring quality development is well known and respected by the developers in <br />the City of Hugo. Bryan's communication skills are excellent, and his honesty and integrity has <br />earned him the respect of the many residents he has dealt with over the past year with the City's <br />2008 Comprehensive Plan. Bryan has a calm demeanor which allows him to communicate with <br />residents and developers in a clear and concise manner. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the annual performance review for Community Development Director Bryan Bear. <br />Approve Renewal of 2:00 a.m. Closing Time for Blue Heron Grill, Inc. <br />Blue Heron Grill, Inc. 14725 Victor Hugo Boulevard North, has applied to the City for renewal <br />of its 2:00 a.m. closing time. City staff has reviewed the application and found it to be <br />satisfactorily complete. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a 2:00 <br />a.m. closing time for Blue Heron Grill. <br />Approve Probationary Period for Accounting Clerk Anna Wobse and Appointment as a <br />Regular Employee <br />Anna Wobse was hired by the City of Hugo on October 28, 2008 as the City's new Accounting <br />Clerk. Anna demonstrates an excellent work ethic and is a quick study with the City's fund <br />accounting software and chart of accounts. Anna is a dedicated employee who is always on time, <br />works hard, and has a pleasant demeanor. Under Finance Director Ron Otkin's tutelage, Anna has <br />quickly become a valued member of the Finance Department completing all accounts payable <br />duties and the City's payroll. The City is fortunate to have a conscientious and dedicated finance <br />employee like Anna. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the appointment of Anna Wobse <br />as a regular employee of the City of Hugo. <br />Approve Water Surface Use Permit for Round Lake - Mike Ball <br />On behalf of residents living on Round Lake, resident Mike Ball has made application to the City <br />of Hugo for a water surface use permit to allow residents to water ski on the slalom course on the <br />Lake. Washington County Sheriff's Department has provided the City with a new application <br />form that has been completed by Mike Ball on behalf of the residents on Round Lake. Adoption <br />of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a water surface use permit for water skiing <br />on the slalom course on Round Lake. <br />Approve Lease Agreement with Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf <br />At its April 6, 2009 meeting, the Hugo City Council directed City staff to prepare a lease <br />agreement with the new Hugo Food Shelf for the reuse of the former youth garage in which the <br />new food shelf will conduct its operations. City staff has prepared a standard lease agreement at <br />
