Motion carried. <br />DISCUSSION ON CITY HALL PLANT MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS WITH <br />TROPICAL PLANTS UNLIMITED <br />For more than two years, Hugo City Hall has been decorated with tropical plants which had been <br />donated and maintained for free by Ricardo Edelstein and his company Tropical Plants <br />Unlimited. Tropical plants provide a beautification and enhancement of the Council Chambers, <br />Oneka Room, and administrative offices. Ricardo is requesting approval of a maintenance <br />agreement for the tropical plants for the Hugo City Hall. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to table discussion until the next Council meeting to allow <br />all Council members to be present. <br />All Aye. Motion carried. <br />APPROVE PLANS AND COST ESTIMATE FOR OAKSHORE PARK <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree has been working with the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission for more than a year developing plans for the development of Oak Shore Park. At <br />its March 12th meeting, the Parks Commission approved the plans and cost estimate for Oak <br />Shore Park. The Parks Commission requested that the City Council approve the plans and cost <br />estimate for Oak Shore Park and authorize staff to proceed with neighborhood meetings to select <br />equipment and construct the park in 2008. Council Member Becky Petryk stated, in the past, she <br />had abstained from discussion and voting on issues relating to Oak Shore Park, but she would <br />now participate because she no longer has financial interest in the property because it is a public <br />park. Public Works Director Chris Petree shared with Council the final plan and reviewed the <br />cost estimate for the development of Oak Shore Park. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the plans and cost estimate for the Oak Shore <br />Park <br />All Aye. Motion carried. <br />SENATE FILE 3690 BILL REGARDING WETLAND MANAGEMENT AREAS AND <br />HUNTING <br />Mayor Fran Miron had requested the Council receive a copy of the proposed Senate File 3690 <br />Bill which placed restrictions on and near Wildlife Management Areas (WMA's). Council <br />Member Haas requested staff contact the League of Minnesota Cities to obtain their opinion of <br />the Bill. <br />
