City Council Meeting of July 7, 2008 <br />Page 4 of 10 <br />amendment at a public hearing during their meeting on June 12, 2008. There was no one that spoke on <br />the text amendment at the meeting. The Planning Commission generally agreed with the amendment. <br />The Planning Commission recommended to the Council approval of the text amendment with <br />modifications to the text to remove the word "adequately," in front of the word "screened". They also <br />recommended the word "inhabited" in front of the word "dwelling", to make sure there is someone <br />living in the dwelling. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved adoption of ORDINANCE 2008-420 <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 320 (COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE REGULATION) TO ADD <br />SECTION 1195-365.1 JUNK VEHICLES AND REPEALING CHAPTER 200, SECTION 4, <br />NUMBER 17 REGARDING JUNK VEHICLES. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 4 from Arnt Construction for Work Completed to Date on the Rice <br />Lake Soccer Complex <br />City staff has received Pay Request No.4 from Amt Construction for work completed to date on the Rice <br />Lake Soccer Complex. Senior Engineering Technician Scott Anderson has reviewed the pay request <br />and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved Pay Request No. 4 in an amount of $345,578.13 from Amt Construction for work <br />completed to date on the Rice Lake Soccer Complex. <br />Approve Resolution Authorizing Payment to Exempt Employees for Tornado Disaster Work <br />At its June 11, 2008 workshop, the Hugo City Council reviewed preliminary cost estimates for clean up <br />and recovery work for the May 25, 2008 tornado disaster. The City employee costs included firefighter <br />non-exempt and exempt employees. Council directed staff to finalize costs related to exempt employees <br />and to prepare a resolution for approval by Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />RESOLUTION 2008 — 34 AUTHORIZING OVERTIME FOR SALARIED EXEMPT <br />EMPLOYEES <br />Approve Adoption of New Mileage Reimbursement Rate <br />Consistent with the City of Hugo's personnel policy, the Hugo City Council needs to adopt the change <br />in the reimbursement rate as per the Federal IRS standards. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />the new mileage reimbursement rate which is increased to $.585 per mile effective July 1, 2008 <br />Approve Application from North St. Paul Fire Department Relief Association for Event at Wild <br />Wings on October 10, 2008 <br />City staff has received a application from the North St. Paul Fire Department Relief Association for <br />charitable gambling event which will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Wild Wings. City staff has <br />reviewed the charitable gambling application and found it to be satisfactory complete. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the charitable gambling license for the North St. Paul Fire Department Relief <br />Association and it's charitable gambling activities to be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Wild Wings. <br />Approve Termination of Contract with LightEdge Solutions and Authorization to Enter Into <br />Contract for Comcast Business Internet <br />City staff has been reviewing the service and rate provided by the City's internet provider LightEdge <br />Solutions for the past several months. Staff has determined that the service and rate could better be <br />provided by the City's cable provider, Comcast, which will provide internet service at a much faster <br />
