Position Title: <br />Department: <br />Position Objective: <br />CI1Y OF HUGO - JOB DESCRIPTION <br />Deputy Clerk/Secretary <br />Planning and Zoning <br />To perform a wide variety of difficult clerical <br />billing, typing, and computer input tasks. <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />1. Assist in the development of office procedures. <br />2. Gathers data in preparing reports. <br />3. Sets up and types complex statistical tables and reports. <br />4. Types letter, agenda, and other materials. <br />5. Maintains planning and zoning filing system. <br />6. Takes and transcribes dictation. <br />7. Prepares Planning Commission packets and takes minutes. <br />S. Sorts and distributes mail. <br />9. Responsible for billing of utility accounts. <br />10. Maintains utility records. <br />11. Sends disconnect notices. <br />12. Sends miscellaneous utility mailings. <br />13. Responds to inquiries regarding utility accounts and other related <br />matters. <br />14. Issues building permit forms and prepares reports. <br />15. Reviews planning and zoning materials when submitted with the appro- <br />priate application. <br />16. Answers phone and assists at service counter. <br />17. Directs citizens to appropriate departments or personnel for assis--.t.- <br />ance. <br />18. Performs other related duties as required. <br />KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS <br />1. Knowledge of office methods and clerical recordkeeping procedures. <br />2. Knowledge of filing systems and the operation of standard office <br />machines. <br />
