City Council meeting of May 21, 2007 <br />Page 5 <br />construction of Oneka Parkway. City Engineer Jay Kennedy and Senior Engineering Technician Scott <br />Anderson reviewed the pay request and found it to be consistent for work completed on the project. <br />Council member Puleo requested removal of this matter from the Consent Agenda to allow for <br />discussion on background regarding allocation of expenditures for street lighting. <br />Puled made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the amended final pay request from Pulte Homes, in the <br />amount of $31,820.79, for construction work completed on Oneka Parkway. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />At its April 16, 2007 meeting, Council accepted an invitation from Washington County Environmental <br />Services to co-sponsor a fall cleanup in the City on September 15'h ' the Public Works Facility. PW <br />Director Chris Petree has been working with local vendors and Washington County officials to organize <br />the cleanup day. Council member Haas requested this item be removed from the Consent Agenda for <br />discussion. PW Director Chris Petree provided Council with additional details surrounding the cleanup <br />day and how residents would be notified. <br />Petryk made motion, Haas seconded, to approve the contract with SRC/Forest Lake Sanitation to <br />provide for the collection and disposal of refuse and the necessary staff to provide the service for the fall <br />cleanup day in Hugo on September 15, 2007. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING — CONSIDER AMENDMENT TO LIQUOR LICENSE ORDINANCE <br />City staff scheduled a public hearing for Monday, May 21, 2007, on or after 7:00 pm, in order for <br />Council to consider an amendment to City Code, Chapter 150, Liquor Licenses, to allow the sale of <br />intoxicating malt liquor with a 3.2 malt liquor license, provided the applicant has a wine license and <br />more than 60% of gross receipts for the sale of food. Mayor Fran Miron opened the public hearing with <br />no oral or written comment regarding the amendment. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to adopt ORDINANCE 2007408 AMENDING CHAPTER 150 <br />REGULATING CONSUMPTION OF LIQUOR, BEER, AND WINE TO ALLOW FOR THE SALE OF <br />STRONG BEER WITH AN ON -SALE WINE LICENSE AND A 3.2 LICENSE PROVIDNG 60% OF <br />GROSS RECEIPTS ARE ATTRIBUTED TO FOOD SALES. <br />VOTING AYE: Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />UPDATE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY LAND & WATER LEGACY PROGRAM AND CITY <br />PROJECT <br />As Mayor Miron owns property adjacent to Hardwood Creek, he excused himself from discussion of this <br />
