City Council meeting of April 17, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for April 17, 2006 as presented. <br />APPROVE TEMPORARY ON -SALE 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR HUGO LIONS CLUB FOR <br />GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS <br />City staff received an application from the Hugo Lions Club for a temporary on -sale 3.2 beer license for <br />Good Neighbor Days scheduled for June 8-11, 2006. City staff reviewed the application and found it to <br />be satisfactorily complete, as well as the required liquor liability insurance, naming the City of Hugo as <br />an additional insured. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the temporary on -sale 3.2 beer license <br />for the Hugo Lions Club to sell beer during Good Neighbor Days on June 8-11, 2006. <br />APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF TIM LORINSER, TODD JONES, AND MARK KOLL TO <br />REGULAR FIREFIGHTER STATUS <br />Fire Chief Jim Compton announced the successful completion of required training under Section 13 of <br />the HFD Suggested Operating Guidelines by firefighters Tim Lorinser, Todd Jones, and Mark Koll. <br />Each firefighter is now a registered EMT and certified Firefighter 1. The successful completion of the <br />two-year probationary period has earned the regular firefighter status. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the appointment of Tim Lorinser, Todd Jones, and Mark Koll as regular firefighters with the <br />HFD and congratulated them on their training and dedication for the past two years. <br />APPROVE AUTHORIZATION FOR HFD TO ADVERTISE FOR SALE OF 1977 DODGE <br />In February 2006, Council accepted staffs recommendation under the CIP to approve the replacement of <br />the 1977 Dodge % ton pickup, which was replaced with a truck purchased under the State of <br />Minnesota's purchasing agreement. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved authorization for the <br />HFD to advertise for the sale of the 1977 Dodge pickup truck. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR GARY <br />SCHWARTZ <br />Gary Schwartz was hired as the City's new building inspector on April 15, 2002. Over the past four <br />years, Gary has worked hard and demonstrated an excellent work ethic and dedication to the building <br />department. Gary is a valued member of the Hugo City Hall team and is respected by the contractors in <br />the field. Adoption of the Consent Agenda Council approved the annual performance review of building <br />inspector. <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DEMOLITION OF HOUSES AT 14625/14687 <br />FOREST BOULEVARD <br />In 2000, the City purchased the house at 14687 Forest Boulevard and has rented it for the past six years <br />providing affordable rental housing in the City.
