City Council meeting of May 1, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Approve Resignation of Public Works Maintenance Worker Rob Weldon and Authorize Staff to <br />Advertise for Vacancy <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Community Development Assistant Michele Lindau <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Community Development Director Bryan Bear <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for former Building Official John Benson <br />Approve PUD General Plan, Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, and Development Agreement for Victor <br />Gardens North 3'd Addition <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for May 1, 2006 as presented. <br />APPROVE RESIGNATION OF PW MAINTENANCE WORK ROB WELDON AND <br />AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR VACANCY <br />Rob Weldon was hired by the City nearly four years ago as one of the newly created public works <br />workers. Rob has been an excellent worker with a strong ethic and great communications skills. Rob <br />submitted a letter of resignation to the City in order to accept a job as the new wastewater treatment <br />plant operator for the Village of Somerset, WI. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />acceptance of the letter of resignation from Rob Weldon, thanked him for his years of dedicated service <br />to the City, and further directed staff to advertise for the vacancy. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW FOR CD ASSISTANT MICHELE LINDAU <br />Michele Lindau was hired as a full-time employee on May 1, 1999. Over the past seven years, Michele <br />has proven to be a dedicated and hard working member of the City Hall team. In her role as the CD <br />assistant, she is very busy providing support staff to the CD Department, in-house IT support person, and <br />as deputy clerk working closely with the city clerk on elections. She is a trusted and valued member of <br />the City Hall team. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual performance review for CD <br />Assistant Michele Lindau. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW FOR CD DIRECTOR BRYAN BEAR <br />Bryan Bear was hired as the City's new CD Director on May 3, 2004. Bryan stepped into an extremely <br />responsible and important role and "hit the ground running" and has not stopped "running" once. Bryan <br />is an excellent director, overseeing the day-to-day operations and meeting with developers and <br />contractors on residential and commercial projects. He exhibits excellent communication skills, while <br />being a creative and effective problem solver. Under Bryan's leadership, the CD Department has over <br />hauled its filing system, while implementing a number of successful organizational strategies to provide <br />
