Motion Carried. <br />2005 SEAL COATING PROJECT <br />The City held a bid opening for the 2005 seal coating project on Friday, May 6, 2005, with a total of <br />three bids being received. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to award the 2005 seal coating contract to the low bidder Allied <br />Blacktop, at a cost of $62,740.50. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />2005 CRACK FILLING PROJECT <br />The City held a bid opening for the 2005 crack filling project on Friday, May 6, 2005 with a total of two <br />bids being received. <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, to award the 2005 crack filling contract to the low bidder <br />Bergmann Companies, at a cost of $1,920. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SPECIAL CITY CONCRETE PROJECT <br />The City of Hugo has a number of 2005 projects, which includes miscellaneous concrete work: <br />installation of concrete edging/curb and slabs at Frog Hollow Park, installation of concrete curb/edging <br />at Beaver Ponds Park (replace existing timber edging), installation of a slab at Water Tower #2 Park (for <br />picnic tables & trash receptacle), and replacement of miscellaneous curb sections on streets to be seal <br />coated in 2005. Staff solicited and received three competitive quotes for this work. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to award the miscellaneous concrete projects to Knife Lake <br />Concrete, Inc. at a low quote price of $11,066.50. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />2005 SEAL COATING/CRACK FILLING OF 165f STREET & INGERSOLL AVENUE <br />At its April 4, 2005 meeting, Council authorized staff to solicit bids for seal coating and crack filling on <br />165d' Street and Ingersoll Avenue. Staff contacted Washington County to discuss future construction <br />projects on CR4, as well as the use of 165d' Street and Ingersoll Avenue for a detour route for its <br />projects. The county's schedule for construction of CR4 has been delayed and City staff sought <br />direction from Council as to award of crack filling and seal coating project for this area. PW Director <br />Chris Petree stated that the work would provide five more years of longevity for the road. <br />
