City Council meeting of June 7, 2004 <br />Page 5 <br />Consent Agenda adopted Resolution 2004-42 the CUP for the installation of a sign on TH61 and 152nd <br />Street for the New Life Church. <br />APPROVE USE OF LIONS PARK FOR CULPEPPER & MERRIWEATHER CIRCUS ON <br />JULY 31, 2004 <br />The Hugo Lions Club has been instrumental in bringing this small-town circus to the City for the past 10 <br />years. The Culpepper & Merriweather circus comes to town on an every -other -year basis. The circus <br />utilizes Lions Park and sets up a clean, well-run, and nicely -attended community event. The Lions <br />sought Council approval for the use of Lions Park on July 31, 2004 for this event. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the use of Lions Park by the Hugo Lions Club for the Culpepper & <br />Merriweather Circus on July 31, 2004. <br />APPROVE RENEWAL OF THE AUTO DISMANTLING LICENSE (HUGO AUTO PARTS) <br />City staff completed its review for the annual renewal of the Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto <br />Parks. Included in the renewal is a review of all necessary code compliance issues, as well as a thorough <br />review by the Washington County Environmental Services Dept. All issues relevant to the issuance of <br />the license have been satisfactorily complete. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved renewal of the <br />Auto Dismantling License for Mike Brandt dba Hugo Auto Parks. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND SALARY ADJUSTMENT FOR <br />BUILDING OFFICIAL (JOHN BENSON) <br />John Benson was hired by the City on May 9, 1988. Over the past 16 years, John has worked as the <br />City's building inspector and building official. John has done an excellent job for the City conducting <br />thousands of building inspections and hundreds of codetnuisance violations. He is conscientious, <br />dependable, and a valued member of the City Hall team. When John isn't reviewing building plans, <br />addressing residential plats, he is responding to citizens at the counter, answering questions over the <br />telephone, out in the field doing building inspections, or following up on a code violations. John does an <br />excellent job for the City. <br />APPROVE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND SALARY ADJUSTMENT FOR CD <br />ASSISTANT (MICHELE LINDAU) <br />Michele Lindau was hired by the City in 1997 and became the CD Assistant on May 1, 1999. Over the <br />past seven years, Michele has worked in a wide variety of tasks and duties, assisting the City Clerk with <br />elections, to processing building permit applications, and now as the CD assistant responsible for the <br />preparation of all Planning Commission agendas and processing of the residential plats. Michele is a <br />tireless worker and valued member of the City Hall team. She provides expertise in a wide variety of <br />areas, including the City's in-house IT work, to GIS mapping, to answering front counter zoning <br />questions. Michele is dependable, reliable, and a valued member of the City Hall team. <br />EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE REVIEW/SALARY ADJUSTMENT <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the performance review and salary adjustment for City <br />
