Motion Carried. <br />Council members Mike Granger and Chuck Haas will work with City staff on the City's salary study. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER FROM LAMETTI & SONS FOR PELOQUIN INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK PROJECT <br />Former city engineer Dave Mitchell from SEH Engineers has reviewed the Change Order submitted by <br />Lametti & Sons for additional work on the Peloquin Industrial Park project, in the amount of <br />$175,805.76. This additional work was necessitated in part due to the micro tunneling machine hitting <br />large sheets of metal, which were buried underneath the ground. City staff recommended Council <br />approve the Change Order from Lametti & Sons for the additional work. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST FROM LAMETTI & SONS FOR WORK COMPLETED ON <br />PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />For the past several months, City staff, Mayor Fran Miron, and Council member Mike Granger have <br />been working to resolve the issue of payment of the Change Order requested by Lametti & Sons for <br />work completed on the Peloquin Industrial Park project. LMCIT attorney Jim Strommen directed staff <br />to proceed with preparation of the final pay request for the Change Order on the project. Former city <br />engineer Dave Mitchell from SEH Engineers prepared the final pay request from Lametti & Sons for the <br />Change Order, which was necessitated while micro tunneling under TH61. City staff recommended <br />Council approve the final pay request from Lametti & Sons in the amount of $258,239.49. <br />Council member Chuck Haas requested that the two above agenda items be removed from the Consent <br />Agenda for discussion because he did not feel well informed. City Attorney Dave Snyder recommended <br />Council approve both items to close the project and the City will pursue reimbursement. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the Change Order and pay request from Lametti & Sons, <br />as recommended by the City Attorney. Council member Frank Puleo thanked them for their work on the <br />project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MCES LETTER REGARDING SANITARY SEWER CAPACITY <br />Since the December 19, 2003 public meeting held by the Metropolitan Council Environmental Service <br />(MCES) at the Hugo City Hall, City staff has been communicating with MCES and Met Council <br />officials regarding short- and long-term sanitary sewer capacity issues. As Council is aware, City staff <br />and Council member Chuck Haas met with MCES officials regarding the sanitary sewer capacity. <br />Reference was made at the meeting to a 1975 contract between the City of Hugo and the, then, <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission (MWCC) that guaranteed a specific sewer capacity to the City. <br />The contract is referred to by the MCES as Contract 257, which is included in the City Council packet. <br />Essentially, Contract 257 outlines the manner by which, at the time, the City financed reserve capacity in <br />
