City Council meeting of August 16, 2004 <br />Page 6 <br />Anderson, the general contractor, to develop a revised floor plan, as well cost estimates. At the next <br />Council meeting, City staff will present a projection of park dedication funds for Council to consider. <br />UPDATE ON JD2 CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT (PETE WILLENBRING) <br />At its August 2, 2004 meeting, Council considered a request from the RCWD Board of Managers to <br />have the City of Hugo take over the traffic control devices for the JD2 culvert replacement projects at <br />165d' Street and 157m Street, respectively, upon termination of the contract with Jay Brothers. Council <br />respectfully declined the offer from the RCWD and directed staff to meet with RCWD officials in order <br />to reach a solution. A meeting was held with RCWD officials on August 5, 2004, and staff concurred <br />that there was an agreement as to the proposed solution. Water Resource Engineer Pete Willenbring <br />presented a Power Point presentation of the issues raised at the meeting, as well as a proposed solution <br />for completion of the project. <br />—Haas made motion, Miron made motion, to approve-flfe-ollowirig recommendations made by Water <br />Resource Engineer Pete Willenbring: 1) agree to pay $115,816.23 towards the completed project; 2) <br />direct the RCWD to complete work per plans, and work out $57,683.07 shortfall among other parties; <br />and 3) develop a performance specification for repair work and monitor settlement. Staff will draft an <br />agreement for Council consideration at the next Council meeting. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED (PELOOUIN <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK P.I. PROJECT) <br />City staff met recently with Mayor Fran Miron to discuss the Peloquin Industrial Park public <br />improvement project and associated costs. After thorough review by staff, Finance Director Ron Otkin <br />recommended Council adopt the proposed resolution to declare the project costs to be assessed for the <br />Peloquin Industrial public improvement project. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2004-65 DECLARING COSTS TO BE <br />ASSESSED FOR THE PELOQUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK P.I. PROJECT. <br />VOTING AYE: Haas, Petr*, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION CALLED FOR ASSESSMENT HEARING (PELOQUIN <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK P.I. PROJECT) <br />Lametti and Sons completed the Peloquin Industrial Park public improvement project to the satisfaction <br />of the City; therefore, it is now time to schedule the assessment hearing in order to begin the process of <br />assessing project costs to the property owners. After thorough review by City staff, Finance Director <br />Ron Otkin recommended Council adopt the proposed resolution calling for the assessment hearing on <br />September 20, 2004 on or after 7:00 pm, in the Hugo Council Chambers. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2004-66 CALLING FOR ASSESSMENT <br />
