Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims roster for September 7, 2004 as presented. <br />APPROVE ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION TO SET 2005 TAX LEVY <br />At its workshop on August 27, 2004, Council received the proposed 2005 budget, which was presented <br />by Finance Director Ron Otkin. In general, Council agreed with Ron's suggestions for revenues and <br />expenditures and concurred with setting the City tax levy in the amount of $3,225,530, which will allow <br />Council to preserve the 7% reduction in the tax rate realized in 2004. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />adopted Resolution 2004-67 APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY TAX LEVY PAYABLE IN 2005 IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $3,225,530. <br />APPROVE 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR HUGO LIONS AT HFD BOOYA (9/11/04) <br />The Hugo Lions made application for approval of a 3.2 beer license in order to sell beer during the Hugo <br />Fire Department booya on Saturday, September 11, 2004. This is the P year of the booya, and the P <br />year that the Lions have made this request. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the 3.2 beer <br />license for the Hugo Lions for the sale of beer at the HFD's booya on 9/11/04, subject to the required <br />liquor liability insurance certificate being provided. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST #4 FROM PARKOS CONSTRUCTION FOR WORK <br />COMPLETED ON PW BUILDING <br />Parkos Construction submitted pay request #4 for work completed to date on the new public works <br />facility. Project architect Bob Russek from ESG Architects and PW Director Chris Petree have reviewed <br />the request and found it to be consistent for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved pay request #4 in the amount of $168,245 from Parkos Construction for work <br />completed on the new public works facility. <br />
