City Council meeting of May 19, 2003 <br />Page 3 <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the final plat and development agreement for BEIP 5'" <br />Addition. <br />APPROVE CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 620 <br />The Hugo American Legion Post 620 made application for a charitable gambling license to sell pull -tabs <br />at their new location of 5383 14& Street. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the charitable <br />gambling license for the Hugo American Legion Post 620 to sell pull -tabs at their facility located at 5383 <br />1400 Street, and waiver of the 30 -day waiting period, if needed. <br />APPROVE SIGN PERMIT FOR AMERICAN LEGION POST 620MCK'S LIQUOR <br />The Hugo American Legion Post 620 and Rick's Liquor made application to the City for approval of a <br />sign permit and variances for the installation of an illuminated sign on the Rick's Liquor property, <br />immediately adjacent to TH61. On May 8, 2003, the Board of Zoning Adjustments reviewed the <br />variance and recommended approval by a unanimous vote. Council member Chuck Haas questioned if <br />the Council considered whether or not this sign fit into the City's downtown development plan. Mayor <br />Miron and Council member Granger stated that they, on behalf of the Council, gave them a verbal <br />approval for the sign during their construction meetings. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the variances and sign permit for the installation of <br />an illuminated sign on the Rick's Liquor property. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE FINAL PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR ONEKA PONDS <br />Fegowi Development made application to the City for approval of the final plat and Development <br />Agreement for the Oneka Ponds residential subdivision. The new subdivision will consist of 68 single- <br />family lots and is located east of TH61 and immediately north of the Sweet Grass Meadows subdivision. <br />Staff reviewed the final plat and found it to be consistent with the approved preliminary plat. CD <br />Director John Rask provided an overview of the proposed development agreement, and how the <br />Peloquin Industrial Park public improvement project will impact the development. City Attorney Dave <br />Snyder reported that the developer has agreed to sign a condition of agreement that the six model homes <br />will not have sanitary sewer until the Peloquin Industrial Park project is finished in November 2003. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2003-25 APPROVING FINAL PLAT <br />AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR ONEKA PONDS. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE FINAL PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR EAGLE SHORES <br />Heritage Development made application to the City for approval of the final plat and Development <br />Agreement for Eagle Shores. Eagle Shores is a residential subdivision consisting of 11 one -acre lots <br />
