Council member Granger requested that the developer provide the City with <br />written documentation from the DNR stating how Outlot A can be used. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2003-26 APPROVING FINAL PLAT <br />AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR EAGLE SHORES. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (PUBLIC HEARING) <br />The City has terminated its contractual obligation with Richard Knutson, Inc., for completion of the <br />Peloquin Industrial Park Public Improvement Project. This action, under the contract, allows the City to <br />proceed with the public rebid of the project. Council will take public comment during the public hearing <br />in order to proceed with the rebid of the project. On Wednesday, May 14, 2003, City held a meeting <br />with business owners in the Peloquin Industrial Park in order to explain issues related to the project and <br />to fiuther explain the assessment procedure and how the delay in the completion of the project would not <br />be assessed to the business owners. Mayor Miron opened the public hearing to take public comment <br />regarding the project. There were no oral or written comments during this process and the hearing was <br />closed for Council discussion. Council opted to continue discussion of this matter during a related item <br />later in the agenda. <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR 2003 SEAL COATING <br />There were a total of 13 roads that were selected to be seal coated this year according to the City's 5 -year <br />seal coating plan. On Friday, May 9, 2003, City staff opened the three bids, which were submitted on <br />the project. The prices ranged from $63,233.90 to $82,498.80 for the entire project. The low bidder was <br />Allied Blacktop with a bid of $63,233.90. City staff estimated a total project cost of $77,988 from the <br />2003 street maintenance fund. <br />Granger made motion, Haas seconded, to award the low bid on the 2003 seal coating contract to Allied <br />Blacktop in the amount of $63,233.90. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE CONTRACT FOR 2003 CRACK FILLING <br />The city currently follows a 5 -year crack -filling plan. There were a large number of roads scheduled for <br />crack filling in 2003. A total of two bids were received for the work. The bids included mechanically <br />routing out cracks, using compressed air and heat lances to clean cracks, and apply MNDOT hot -pour <br />rubberized crack sealant. City staff estimated a total project cost of $9,000 to S 19,000 from the 2003 <br />street maintenance fund. The low bidder was Bergman Companies, Inc., with a bid of $6,615. <br />Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to award the 2003 crack filling contract to the low bidder <br />Bergman Companies, Inc., in the amount of $6,615. All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
