City Council meeting of June 16, 2003 <br />Page 7 <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, to appoint Chuck Haas and Becky Petryk as alternate on the <br />new Hugo Elementary School Referendum Committee. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directing staff to place facilities needs for the proposed <br />elementary school on the Parks Commission agenda for July 9, 2003. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />TH61 TRAFFIC CONTROL (PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARD <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder and City Engineer Dave Mitchell have continued discussion with <br />representatives from Richard Knutson, Inc., regarding the need to maintain the traffic control devices in <br />and around the Peloquin Industrial Park P.L Project. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, that upon the recommendation from City Attorney Dave Snyder, to <br />authorize the expenditure of not to exceed $4,000 to Northern Trak Supply to maintain traffic control <br />devices for TH61 traffic control in and around the Peloquin Industrial Park P.L Project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />I.5 RECOMMENDATION TO SOLICIT FOR SPACE NEEDS STUDY FOR NEW PUBLIC <br />WORKS FACILITY <br />At its June 11, 2003 meeting, the Public Works Facility Building Committee discussed the need to <br />determine the size of a new public works facility. Council members Mike Granger and Frank Puleo <br />agreed that it was necessary to take staff's CIP equipment and vehicle information and determine square <br />footage needs. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, authorize staff to solicit for a space needs study at a cost not to <br />exceed $2,000 and direct staff to secure soil borings for the Rice Lake Park property site. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SUNSET LAKE DRAINAGE OUTLET <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree received a number of complaints from residents living on Sunset <br />Lake regarding a culvert outlet, which has deteriorated beyond repair. Specifically, the residents request <br />that the City replace the culvert to allow for full and complete drainage. Chris received three bids for the <br />culvert replacement, with RoSo Contracting the low bidder at $3,850. <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, to award the culvert replacement on Sunset Lake to the low <br />bidder, RoSo Contracting, in the amount of $3,850. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
