Adoption of the Consent Agenda appointed Sandy Malaski as <br />vice chair for the Pc for 2002. <br />APPOINTMENT OF BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />The Council appointed PC chair Dave Schumann, City Council member Frank Puleo, and citizen <br />Bernie Brunotte to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals last year. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />appointed the same members to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals for 2002. <br />APPROVAL OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT FOR BALD EAGLE LAKE <br />Annually, the City of Hugo is presented with a law enforcement contract for the policing of Bald Eagle <br />Lake. The Ramsey County contract is paid for on a proportional basis, with a cost sharing among the <br />City of Hugo, White Bear Township, and the Bald Eagle Lake Assn. The cost sharing is broken down to <br />50% paid for WB Township, with the other two parties sharing 25% each respectively. The contract is <br />identical to the ones signed in previous years, except for an increase from a maximum of 125 hours to <br />142 hours, at a total cost not -to -exceed $4,970, at a rate of $35/hr. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Contract with Ramsey County for the winter <br />patrol of Bald Eagle Lake for 2002 -winter season. <br />APPROVE RESCHEDULING OF JANUARY 21' COUNCIL MEETING TO JAN 22ND <br />The federal holiday for Martin Luther King's birthday falls on Monday, January 21, 2002. Adoption of <br />the Consent Agenda approved the rescheduling of the second regular meeting to Tuesday, January 22, <br />2002 at 7:00 pm. <br />APPROVE FINAL PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY AT 14651 FITZGERALD <br />AVENUE <br />Assistant City Attorney Jim Lammers finalized the Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of the <br />property at 14651 Fitzgerald Avenue for the new City Hall. He finalized the agreement with the <br />Williams' attorney Dave Magnuson, and included interest on the sale price of the house at $149,000. <br />The legal rate of interest for 2001 is 6%. The Williams are also entitled to $456 as additional <br />reimbursement for storage costs. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the final Purchase <br />Agreement for the property at 14651 Fitzgerald Avenue to include interest in the amount of $5,241.53 <br />and additional storage costs in the amount of $456 with the purchase price of $149,000 and all other <br />additional relocation benefits agreed to by both parties. <br />MAY 2.2002 AS ANNUAL BOARD OF APPEAL/EOUALIZATION MEETING <br />Annually, the Washington County Auditor's office recommends dates for the City's annual Board of <br />Appeal and Equalization meeting. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved May 2, 2002 as the <br />City's annual Board of Appeal and Equalization. The meeting will take place at the City Hall at 10:00 <br />am. <br />
