It has been <br />handled in different ways in the past. CD Director John Rask listed several examples of how other <br />cities deal with the reappointment of PC members. The Council may wish to reappoint Commissioners <br />in one of the selected options, or a combination of options. Parks Commission member suggested the <br />Council establish a policy for all commissions in the City as they are now faced with a similar dilemma. <br />Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to reappoint Bronwen Kleissler to a 4 -year term on the Hugo <br />Planning Commission commencing January 2002. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, that the City adopt a policy of advertising for each vacancy on <br />all Commissions in the City, including the reappointments of current members. Staff will draft a policy <br />and present it to Council. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY HALL LANDSCAPING PLAN <br />At its December 3, 2001 meeting, the Council listened to a presentation from Jason Naber engineer <br />with EOR and Laurie McRostie landscape architect with SEH. They presented the rainwater gardens <br />stormwater collection plan for the new City Hall site, as well as the final landscaping plan. Council <br />approved and authorized EOR to prepare plans and specifications for the rainwater gardens stormwater <br />design and did not take action on the landscaping plan. Laurie McRostie and SEH have prepared a final <br />City Hall landscaping plan that she presented to Council for final approval and authorization to proceed <br />with plans and specifications. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to accept the proposal from SEH to prepare the plans and <br />specifications for the entire City Hall landscaping plan at a cost not to exceed $10,000. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BEVER LANDSCAPING COMPLAINT (132ND STREET) <br />Staff has received a number of complaints regarding the volume of truck traffic on 132°d Street, as well <br />as the landscaping business Bever Landscaping, and requested a review of their CUP. Two additional <br />letters of complaint weer received by Council at the meeting. <br />Miran made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to investigate the Bever Landscaping CUP and <br />present findings to the City Council. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Mayor Miron stated that he signed the CUP for Bever Landscaping and it was his recollection that the <br />landscape business was to be tied more closely with the agricultural production of trees and shrubs on <br />site. <br />
