City Council meeting of March 18, 2002 <br />Page 4 <br />CITY FEES SCHEDULE (STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS) <br />At its February 19, 2002 meeting, the Council reviewed the new City fee schedule prepared by <br />Computer Integrated Technologies (CIT). Bill Lehner from CIT prepared for Council review, the new <br />City fee schedule that includes adjustments to a number of City fees. City staff requested that Council <br />adopt or modify the staff recommendations and set City fees for 2002. John Rask reviewed the <br />proposed fees, and stated that the increase in liquor license fees would require a public hearing. <br />Council member Puleo requested clarification of commercial/residential burning permits and their <br />related fees. City Attorney Dave Snyder has prepared an ordinance that will be presented to Council at <br />its April 1, 2002 ince-ting, at which it would consider adoption to incorporate the new City fee schedule <br />for 2002. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to schedule a public hearing, at its discretion, to <br />consider an increase in the City's liquor license fees. Council will make any suggested revisions to the <br />proposed fee schedule prior to the April 1, 2002 meeting. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />2002 SEWER AND WATER RATES (ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS) <br />For the past few years, the Council has annually set its sewer and water rates by resolution. Recently, <br />City staff has worked with Bill Lehner from CIT and developed a new set of sewer and water rates for <br />consideration by the Council. City staff recommended Council adopt the proposed sewer and water <br />rates resolution reflecting rate adjustments that are reflective of the City's cooperative efforts with the <br />MnDNR and its water conservation rate measures. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2002-9 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />WATER SERVICE RATES. <br />VOTING AYE: Haas, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2002-10 RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING SANITARY SEWER SERVICE RATES. <br />VOTING AYE: Haas, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE PROPOSAL FROM RCWD FOR HUGO CITY HALL INFILTRATION <br />MONITORING AND EDUCATION PROJECT <br />The RCWD's engineers Emmons and Olivier Resources (EOR) has worked very closely with City staff <br />in preparing both the City's grant application to Met Council for a rainwater gardens grant, as well as <br />the monitoring and education program. Jason Naber, engineer from EOR, prepared a proposal for the <br />Council to consider for the infiltration monitoring and education programming for the rainwater <br />gardens at the new City Hall site. <br />
