City Council meeting of July 1, 2002 <br />Page 4 <br />process a lengthy one. The interview team recommended Council hire Robert Weldon and Michael <br />Loeffler as the new public works employees. These employees would be subject to the standard pro- <br />employment physical examination and standard six-month probationary period. These individuals will <br />be hired at Step 1 of Pay Grade 5. Council member Puleo felt that he would like more time to review the <br />resumes of Robert Weldon and Michael, as well as the applications of other candidates. <br />Miron made motion, Granger seconded, directing staff to make available all applications for Council <br />review and table until the meeting of July 15, 2002. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE FINAL PLAT (VICTOR GARDENS 2ND ADDITION) <br />At its May 20, 2002 meeting, the Council approved the preliminary plat and site plan for 8 condominium <br />lots and two outlots on the Victor Gardens 2"d Addition. The site plan allows for 70 townhome units on <br />the 18-condomium lots. Council member Petryk requested a review of the changes made to the <br />Development Agreement. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2002-29 APPROVING THE FINAL <br />PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR VICTOR GARDENS PD ADDITION. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST FROM GRASSROOTS SPRINKLERS FOR WORK COMPLETED <br />ON CITY HALL SITE <br />Grassroots Sprinklers submitted a pay request for work completed to date on the City Hall site. Laurie <br />McRostie of SEH and staff reviewed the pay request and found it to be consistent with work completed <br />to date. Council member Puleo questioned the work performed by the contractor and suggested the City <br />obtain a quote to install additional rain gauges. <br />Puleo made motion, Haas seconded, authorizing payment to Grassroots Sprinklers in the amount of <br />$14,500. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT W/RCWD AND COUNTY FOR CULVERT <br />REPLACEMENT <br />City staff was contacted by Steve Hobbs, administrator for the RCWD, regarding approval of the <br />Cooperative Agreement with the RCWD and Washington County for the installation of culverts along <br />Hardwood Creek and JD2. Council had previously directed staff to proceed with the installation of the <br />culverts and to complete the necessary agreements with all agencies. Unfortunately, Steve Hobbs was <br />unable to be present at the meeting to present the Cooperative Agreement for consideration by the <br />Council. City staff reviewed the Agreement and found it to be consistent and standard with respect to <br />
