Chris will provide quotations he receives for the work at the July 15, 2002 Council meeting. <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, directing staff to communication with the Washington County <br />Soil and Water Conservation District regarding their involvement in the project and the possibility of <br />helping to fund the project, and report to Council at its meeting of July 15, 2002. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />DISCUSSION OF REFURBISHING PLOW TRUCKS AND GRADER (COST ESTIMATE) <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree officially completed the purchase of the City's two used snowplow <br />trucks and motor grader from Washington County last week. He included in the City's 2002 budget, <br />$1,000 each for the repainting of the dump boxes of the trucks. After discussions with Council member <br />Mike Granger, Chris agreed that the Council should consider the complete refurbishing of both the used <br />snowplow trucks, which would include the repainting of the cabs as well, and additional interior work. <br />Additionally, the motor grader would be completed repainted as well. City staff has been collecting <br />quotations for the work and they will be presented to Council at their meeting of July 15, 2002. <br />Petryk made motion, Miron seconded, directing the Public Works Director Chris Petree to obtain price <br />estimates for refurbishing the newly acquired plow trucks and road grader and bring to the Council at its <br />meeting of July 15, 2002 for further consideration. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVE DELETION OF 140M STREET FOR CSAH 8/14 REALIGNMENT <br />On June 18, 2002, the third public informational meeting was held for Hugo residents to discuss the <br />proposed realignment of the CSAH 8/14 improvement project. Engineering consultant TKDA facilitated <br />the open house, as well as a question and answer period for residents. Tim Chalupnik from TKDA <br />presented work to date by the project management team (PMT). The PMT agreed to recommend to the <br />Council that the 140`h Street realignment option be dropped from further consideration and analysis since <br />it fails to meet a number of rating criteria. Sandy Cullen, transportation engineer with Washington <br />County, presented to Council this deletion otion and recommendation from the PMT that the other <br />three realignment options: 142°d Street; 145` Street; and 147`h Street be further analyzed with an <br />Environmental Assessment as part of the standard engineering analysis as specified in the County <br />engineering guidelines. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2002-30 APPROVING THE <br />ELIMINATION OF 146' STREET FROM FURTHER STUDY BECAUSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACTS, RIGHT-OF-WAY AND CONSTRUCTION COSTS, AND TRAVEL PATTERNS. <br />VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />
