Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the license for the Hugo Lions Club and <br />allows them to sell 3.2 beer on September 14, 2002 at the HFD second annual booyafest. <br />APPROVE ST. JOHN'S CHURCH 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR AUGUST 25.2002 <br />St. John the Baptist Church is holding its annual festival on Sunday, August 25, 2002. Each year, the <br />church applies for a license to sell 3.2 beer during its festival. City staff reviewed the application and <br />found it to be consistent with licenses approved in the past. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />the 3.2 beer license for St. John the Baptist Church at its annual festival on August 25, 2002. <br />APPROVE REFURBISHING OF PLOW TRUCKS AND GRADER WITH CR <br />YSTEEL AND <br />ZEE LER <br />At its July 15, 2002 meeting, the Council asked that this issue be placed on the August 5, 2002 agenda <br />since Council member Mike Granger was not present. The Council had directed Public Works Director <br />Chris Petree to solicit quotes for painting and refurbishing of both snowplow trucks and the motor <br />grader, recently purchased from Washington County. Five vendors were contacted to provide the <br />services to the City, and staff obtained quotes for this work. City staff recommended that the City <br />contract with Crysteel Truck Equipment for the plow trucks, refurbishing at a cost of $9,895 for both. <br />Staff also recommended that the City contract with Ziegler Caterpillar for complete refurbishing of the <br />motor grade at a cost of $4,834. Council member Granger reviewed the quotes and concurs with stall' <br />recommendation. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved refurbishing of the plow trucks and grader <br />as requested. <br />APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES FOR 2002 ELECTIONS <br />City Clerk Mary Ann Creager received inquiries and interest from a number of individuals and <br />recommended the appointment of 20 individuals to serve as election judges for the City for the primary <br />and general elections in 2002. Adoption of the Consent Agenda adopted Resolution 2002-37 naming the <br />election judges for the 2002 primary and general elections. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the claims for August 5, 2002 with the deletion of <br />payment to Springsted, Inc., WSB Engineering, and SEH <br />All aye.
