City Council meeting of October 21, 2002 <br />Page 3 <br />APPROVE VARIANCE REQUEST FOR ASCHENBRENER ACCESSORY BUILDING <br />Mark Aschenbrener made application for a variance to permit an accessory building 25 feet from the <br />side lot line, where 40 feet is required. The property is located at 13520 Keystone Avenue. The Board of <br />Zoning Adjustments reviewed the request on October 10, 2002 and recommended approval. The Board <br />found hardships in the location of the existing home, well, and septic system. Further, the Board noted <br />that the existing trees would help to screen the building from the adjacent property. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the variance request of Mark Aschenbrener as requested. <br />APPROVE PRELMMARY PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT ON 125TH STREET (MASSIE) <br />Michael Massie made application for a preliminary plat to subdivide a 40 -acre parcel into four 10 -acre <br />lots. The property is located north of 12P Street and approximately %s mile east of Goodview. The <br />Planning Commission reviewed the preliminary plat on October 10, 2002 and recommended approval by <br />a unanimous vote. Adoption of the Consent Agenda and Resolution 2002-54 approved the preliminary <br />plat for Michael Massie. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST NO. 11 FOR WORK COMPLETED ON WATER TOWER #3 <br />(LANDMARK STRUCTURES) <br />Landmark Structures made application to the City for approval of pay request #I I for work completed to <br />date on water tower #3. Steve Campbell from SEH Engineers reviewed the pay request and found it to <br />be consistent with work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />payment to Landmark Structures in the amount of $81,873.37. <br />APPROVE PAY REQUEST NO.4 FOR WORK COMPLETED ON WELL NO.4 (MAGNEY <br />Magney Construction made application to the City for approval of pay request #4 for work completed to <br />date on well #4. Steve Campbell from SEH Engineers reviewed the pay request and found it to be <br />consistent with work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />payment to Magney Construction in the amount of $69,556.15. <br />APPROVE EXTENSION OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION DEADLINE FOR HIDDEN <br />HILLS PRESERVE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />The developer for the Hidden Hills Preserve residential subdivision has had difficulty in meeting his <br />completion deadline for the installation of public improvements in the project. City staff has stopped the <br />project on several occasions due to the wetness of the site. CD Director John Rask has spoken with the <br />developer and together they agreed that an extension is necessary to allow for the satisfactory completion <br />of the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the extension of the substantial completion <br />deadline to August 1, 2003 for the installation of public improvements in the Hidden Hills Preserve <br />subdivision. <br />
