Motion carried. <br />Haas turned the meeting back over to Mayor Miron, and the Mayor call a short recess. <br />COMMANDER DON McGLOTHLIN (WASHINGTON CITY SHERIFF'S DEPT.) <br />Commander Don McGlothlin presented the Washington County Sheriff Department's annual report <br />for the City. McGlothlin said crime was in a continuing upward trend, due mainly to the increase in <br />population, and calls to the Sheriff's Department had increased, which he said was probably a result <br />of the National Night Out and Crime Watch Programs; more people are calling in when they observe <br />suspicious behavior. McGlothin gave credit to Deputies Olson, Marquardt, Muller, and Richert, and <br />Sergeant Meverdon.
