City Council meeting of April 2, 2001 <br />Page 2 of 9 <br />Landowners John Waller, 14040 Homestead, and Sandy Niemczyk, 7666 17& street, said the <br />landowners should be a part of the committee. Acting Mayor Haas said that hadn't yet been discussed <br />but plans were to keep all residents informed. <br />Puleo made motion, Haas seconded, to appoint himself and Granger as the Council members to serve <br />on the committee to help develop a storm water management plan for the JD2 area. <br />Aye: Haas, Puleo <br />Nay: Petryk <br />Abstain: Granger <br />Motion failed. <br />Granger made motion, Petryk seconded, to reconsider the motion. <br />Aye: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo. <br />Motion carried. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to appoint Puleo and Granger as the Council members to serve <br />on the committee to help develop a storm water management plan for the JD2 area. <br />Aye: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo. Motion carried. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to have another member of the Council serve on the Committee <br />in the absence of Granger or Puleo. <br />Aye: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo. Motion carried. <br />Puleo made motion, Haas seconded to invite the Chair of the Planning Commission to be on the <br />Committee. <br />Aye: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo. Motion carried. <br />Haas turned the meeting back over to Mayor Miron, and the Mayor call a short recess. <br />COMMANDER DON McGLOTHLIN (WASHINGTON CITY SHERIFF'S DEPT.) <br />Commander Don McGlothlin presented the Washington County Sheriff Department's annual report <br />for the City. McGlothlin said crime was in a continuing upward trend, due mainly to the increase in <br />population, and calls to the Sheriff's Department had increased, which he said was probably a result <br />of the National Night Out and Crime Watch Programs; more people are calling in when they observe <br />suspicious behavior. McGlothin gave credit to Deputies Olson, Marquardt, Muller, and Richert, and <br />Sergeant Meverdon. Mayor Miron thanked McGlothlin for presenting his report to the Council <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />
