City Council meeting of April 2, 2001 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />Riermann thanked the City Council and offered to help fix the road by filling with lime tock, as he <br />said he had always done in the past. <br />WATER USAGE ORDINANCE <br />Staff had been working for the past number of months on the development of a water ordinance that <br />would allow the City the flexibility to provide for water flows throughout the City, as well as <br />protecting the necessary fire flow within specific neighborhoods in the City. City staff presented a <br />water ordinance to the Council to allows staff the flexibility to ensure that stable and sufficient fire <br />flows are available in selected areas, as well as in the entire City of Hugo. <br />Miron made motion, Puleo seconded to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 2001-350, AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE COUNCIL TO ADOPT REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE <br />CONSERVATION OF WATER. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />FINAL REPORT ON CITY COUNCIL GOAL SETTING SESSION <br />On January 29, 2001, the Hugo City Council held its annual goal setting session with facilitator <br />Barbara Strandell. Staff had completed the final work on the report and presented it to Council for <br />delivery to the public. Council reviewed the highlights of the goal setting session, identifying the top <br />six goals for the 2001 year in the City and outlining the upcoming goals for the 2001-2004 period. <br />Mayor Miron said the City's goals would need periodic updating, and the goals identified provide a <br />foundation and establishes a continuity of the process. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to adopt the six goals set forth in the goal setting sessions and <br />present them to the public, as follows: 1) City infrastructureldevelop CIP; 2) establish parks and <br />acquire parkland; 3) Elmcrest/Everton Avenue Study; 4) surface water management plan; 5) complete <br />
