The Oakshore Park Homeowner's Association has been in existence since before DNR
rules required marina permits, and have been asked to obtain a permit only in the year 2001.
Miron made motion, Puleo seconded, that based on the usage of the docks by Oakshore Park property
owners since 1971, the Council accept staff recommendation and recommend to the MnDNR that up
to 50 seasonal docks be allowed to be installed on Bald Eagle Lake for the Oakshore Park
Homeowner's Association.
Voting AYE: Haas, Puleo, Miron
ABSTAINED: Granger and Petryk
Motion Carried.
TOPSOIL FOR BEAVER PONDS SOCCER FIELD AND PARK
The Development Agreement for the Beaver Ponds subdivision provided that the Beaver Ponds soccer
field and park would be dedicated as a park, and that the entire park area would be rough graded by the
developer John Peterson as part of the grading for the development, and this work has been completed.
The developer was also to add topsoil to the soccer field, final grade, and seed the soccer field, and the
City agreed to reimburse the developer for this work. A preconstruction meeting was held with
American Irrigation, the contractor for the seeding and irrigation project, and staff determined that
there was a lack of topsoil at the park. Free topsoil was available from Dan Northrop's project in the
Bald Eagle Industrial Park, and Eagle Trucking agreed to haul the material at a cost of $3.75 per cubic
yard. The City was able to provide topsoil to the entire area for less than $7,500.
Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to formally authorize the application of topsoil to the Beaver
Ponds soccer field and park by Eagle Trucking in an amount not -to -exceed 1,500 cubic yards. Staff
will negotiate with Mr. Peterson for the final reimbursement amount.
All aye. Motion Carried.
CONCEPT PLAN FOR SEDONA HOMES (PINEVIEW MEADOWS)
Roger Tomten, developer for the Pineview Meadows subdivision, reviewed with Council a concept for
Pineview Meadows 2 Addition that they hope to begin in the summer 2001.
