City Council meeting of October 1, 2001 <br />Page 4 <br />SCHWIETERS CONSTRUCTION REVISED TIF AGREEMENT FOR LOT 2. BLOCK 1. <br />SCHWIETERS MILLWORK <br />City staff met with Tom Junnila, representative for Schwieter brothers, regarding Schwieters revised TIF <br />Agreement for Lot 2, Block 1, Schwieters Millwork. Staff has worked with Mr. Junnila regarding the <br />TIF Agreement and is prepared to present and discuss with Council the revisions to the TIF Agreement. <br />The revisions to the TIF agreement are identified in the report from the CD Director and are presented to <br />Council for approval. Mr. Junnila appeared before the Council to explain Schwieter's request for a <br />$60,000 reimbursement from the City to remove and replace bad soil for building No. 3. <br />Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve a revision to the TIF Agreement for Lot 2, Block 1, <br />Schwieters Millwork by reducing the amount of business subsidy from $266,999 to $203,724. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SCHWIETERS CONSTRUCTION WITHDRAWAL OF TIF AGREEMENT FOR LOTS 4 & 5. <br />BLOCK 1. BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />Schwieters is proposing to delay the construction of Building #4 until next year. Accordingly, Schwieters is <br />formally withdrawing their request to exercise their option to purchase Lots 4 and 5, Block 1, Bald Eagle <br />Industrial Park. Further, Schwieters is withdrawing their request for TIF for Building #4. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, that the City of Hugo officially acknowledges receipt of request to <br />exercise option, but Purchase Agreement remains in effect. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to table Schwieter's request for reimbursement of $59,976 for the <br />earthwork on Lot 2 to obtain more information relative to the request. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH LINO LAKES FOR MUNICIPAL WATER <br />In 1999, the Hugo City Attorney prepared a proposed Joint Powers Agreement to provide for municipal <br />water for the then Wenzel Farms residential development whereby the City of Lino Lakes would provide <br />municipal water to the neighborhood, since the City's municipal water was unavailable. Since that time, <br />the residential subdivision has been revised, but the need for municipal water from Lino Lakes has <br />remained unchanged. The engineering department for Lino Lakes has now reviewed and commented on <br />the Joint Powers Agreement,.and forwarded those revisions to City staff. <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Lino <br />Lakes to provide municipal to the Victor Gardens subdivision. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
