City Council meeting of January 3, 2000 Page 2 OFFICER AND AGENCY APPOINTMENTS Haas made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the following agency appointments for 2000: Depository for City Funds - Firstar Hugo Bank City Attorney - Greg Galler City Engineer - Dave Mitchell City Water Resource Engineer - Peter Willenbring Zoning Administrator - Robert Museus Civil Defense Director - Joe McMahon Acting Mayor - James Leroux Official Newspaper - White Bear Press All aye. Motion Carried. PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS Terms of office for Planning Commissioners Bunny Peterson and Frank Puleo expire 12/31/99. Mayor Stoltzman recommended that they both be reappointed for terms expiring 12/31/03, and Frank Puleo be reappointed as Planning Commission Chairman. Several other Council members had spoken to Bunny Peterson, and she expressed an interest in serving on the Parks Commission rather than the Planning Commission. Barnes made motion, Haas seconded, to reappoint Frank Puleo to a four-year term on the Planning Commission, and a one-year term as Chairman. All aye. Motion Carried. Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to advertise for the vacancy on the Planning Commission with a deadline to respond on February 1, 2000. All aye. Motion Carried. PARK COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS The term of Chairperson, Kathy Marier, on the City's Parks Commission expired on 12/31/99. Mayor Stoltzman recommended that the Council accept the recommendation of the Parks Commission and appoint Robyn LaCasse as the Chairperson. Chuck Haas expressed interest in again serving as Council liaison to the Parks Commission. Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to appoint Robyn as Chairman of the Parks Commission. All aye. Motion Carried. Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to appoint Bunny Peterson to the Parks Commission. All aye. Motion Carried.
