City Council meeting of January 18, 2000 <br />Page 5 <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, that a committee be formed to review, consider, <br />and recommend the need for adopting regulations covering custom slaughter operations in <br />the City of Hugo. Councilman Haas will chair said committee, and report committee action <br />to the Council within 60 days. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SITE PLAN APPROVAL (COMO LUBE & SUPPLIES) <br />Jim Kellison of Kellison Company, representing Como Lube agreed to amend the site plan <br />according to the recommendations of the City Engineer. Mr. Kellison and Mr. <br />Schwinghamnmer responded to Council questions regarding the type of operation, <br />environmental features of the building, and business operations. Councilman Haas <br />expressed concern with the long-term value of the property to the City. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the site plan for Como Lube & <br />Supplies to construct on 14,750 square foot building on Lot 2, Block 1, Bald Eagle <br />Industrial Park, subject to recommendations outlined by the City Engineer in his report of <br />January 18, 2000. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />VOTING NAY: Chuck Haas <br />Motion Carried. <br />SUBDIVISION EXTENSION (NELSON) <br />Tim and Karen Nelson received minor subdivision approval on January 27, 1999. They <br />have requested that the City extend the time deadline to have the deeds recorded. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to grant a one-year extension (01/27/01) for <br />recording of the previously approved deeds to Tim and Karen Nelson. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PURCHASE OF BERNIN PROPERTY <br />Prior to expending money for legal costs, the Council stated that Mr. Bruce Bernin should <br />be contacted to determine if he was indeed interested in selling his property to the City of <br />Hugo. Councilman Haas stated that he would be in contact with Mr. Bernin and inquire <br />about his intent. <br />COMPLIANCE CHECK COMMITTEE <br />The committee, consisting of liquor license holders, and Council members Walter <br />
