City Council meeting of April 3, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br />to cooperate with the school district in the making of improvements to the children's playground at <br />the Hugo Elementary School. This park is identified as a neighborhood park in the City's Master <br />Park Plan. The school district is requesting a contribution of $25,000 to purchase equipment for the <br />park. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the donation of $25,000 to help fund the <br />purchase of playground equipment at the Hugo Elementary School, subject to the City Attorney <br />preparing a Joint Powers Agreement reflecting the City's interest in using the playground as a <br />neighborhood park. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Pete Pederson, Parks Commission member, explained the intent of their brochure relative to securing <br />of land for public purpose. <br />Petryk made motion, Leroux seconded, to approve the brochure with changes, and the Parks <br />Commission attempt to acquire property owned by Bruce Bernin, the Hauble family, and property <br />north of "old school house". <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MINNESOTA UNION BUILDERS CONTRACT <br />At its regular meeting of March 20, 2000, the Council tabled consideration of the Development <br />Agreement between the City of Hugo and Minnesota Union Builders for the construction of a 90,000 <br />square foot manufacturing building in the Bald Eagle Industrial Park. The City Attorney <br />recommended delaying action on the Agreement as the City's bond counsel wants to update the <br />document to reflect recent changes in State law. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to table this matter until the meeting of April 17, 2000. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK 4TH ADDITION (FINAL PLAT) <br />The Council considered the City Engineer's recommendation to approve the final plat of the Bald <br />Eagle Industrial Park 4'h Addition. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the final plat for BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK 4TH ADDITION, as recommended by the City Engineer. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK 4TH ADDITION (DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT) <br />The Council considered a draft copy of the Development Agreement between the City of Hugo and <br />the Jackson family for the Bald Eagle Industrial Park 4t' Addition.
