City Council meeting of June 19, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br />2001 ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />The current Road Maintenance Agreement with Washington County expires on June 30, 2000. A <br />new Agreement through June 30, 2001 was provided for Council review. There are minor changes <br />made to the new Agreement, with the labor and equipment rates the same as last year. Mayor <br />Stoltzman suggested that the City extend the contract with the County for as long as possible to <br />allow the City the greatest amount of time to establish an expanded public works department. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the 2000-2001 Road Maintenance <br />Agreement, between the City of Hugo and Washington County, as recommended by City staff. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />VACATION OF EASEMENTS FOR WOODS/TOWNHOMES OF BALD EAGLE <br />The Hugo City Council held a public hearing to consider the request of Royal Oaks Realty to <br />vacate the following easements: 1) that 10 ft wide drainage and utility easement dedicated over <br />that part of Outlot B, Woods of Bald Eagle; and 2) that all of 130' Street No and Europa Trail No <br />as previously dedicated on the plat of Woods of Bald Eagle. There were no oral or written <br />comments provided at the public hearing. <br />Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-16, A RESOLUTION <br />VACATING A 10 FEET WIDE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT WITHIN THE PLAT <br />OF WOODS OF BALD EAGLE LAKE. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />VOTING NAY: Jim Leroux <br />Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-17, A RESOLUTION <br />VACATING PORTIONS OF 130 STREET NORTH AND EUROPA TRAIL NORTH WITHIN <br />THE PLAT OF WOODS OF BALD EAGLE LAKE. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />MAPPING & GIS SERVICE PROPOSAL FROM SEH <br />City staff met with the City Engineer, Dave Mitchell, and staffers from SEH on May 18, 2000, to <br />discuss the City's needs for mapping. Public Works Superintendent, Chris Petree, Fire Chief, Joe <br />McMahon, and Parks Commission Chair, Robyn LaCasse, along with City Administrator, Mike <br />Ericson, were in attendance. The City of Hugo discussed its mapping needs, and agreed that there <br />is a need for a sewer and water utility map, street address map, base map, Fire Department map, <br />and parks map. Additionally, there is a need for GIS applications with the City's need for <br />mapping. City Engineer, David Mitchell, and Project Manager, Rebecca Blue, put together an <br />Agreement for Professional Services for this work. If the City Council does so choose to approve <br />all of the work proposed, it would be at a fee currently estimated to be $8,400. City staff <br />
