City Council meeting of December 18, 2000 <br />Page 4 <br />APPROVAL OF FINAL PLAT FOR BEAVER PONDS 4TH ADDITION <br />The proposed plat is part of the Beaver Ponds 4h Addition preliminary plat approved by the Council <br />on May 3, 1999. The preliminary plat for Beaver Ponds includes 26 twin home lots on 5.93 acres. <br />The applicant is proposing to plat 16 of the 26 lots at this time, and would create an outlet for the <br />remaining 10 lots that would front on Ferrara Avenue. City staff recommended Council approval of <br />the final plat and Development Agreement for the Beaver Ponds 4'h Addition. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-55, APPROVING FINAL <br />PLAT AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR BEAVER PONDS 47H ADDITION. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF THE 2001 CITY BUDGET (RESOLUTION) <br />At its December 4, 2000 meeting, the City Council held its Truth in Taxation public hearing for the <br />purpose of taking public comment regarding the City's proposed 2001 budget. No public comment <br />was offered or received for consideration by the Council; therefore, City staff recommended the <br />adoption of the resolution, prepared by the Finance Director, approving the 2001 City budget, in the <br />amount of $2,147,073. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Haas seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-56, APPROVING THE <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE 2001 FISCAL YEAR. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF THE TAX LEVY (RESOLUTION) <br />At its December 4, 2000 meeting, the City Council held a Truth in Taxation public hearing for the <br />purpose taking public comment regarding its 2001 budget. No public comment was offered or <br />received; therefore, City staff recommended the Council adopt the resolution, prepared by the <br />Finance Director, certifying the tax levy at $1,381,101 for the year 2001. This amount represents a <br />0% tax rate increase for the 2001 City tax levy. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 2000-57, APPROVING <br />PAYABLE 2001 FINAL LEVY CERTIFICATION. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />JD2 LITIGATION UPDATE <br />Mayor Stoltzman questioned the Council if they would like Attorney Haik to update them on the JD2 <br />matter. Because of inadequate time, the Council declined any meeting prior to the jury trial on <br />January 2, 2001. <br />
