City Council meeting of May 17, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />JOBS ADVERTISING <br />Chris Kostroski, who cleans City Hall, and Bob Opatrny, part-time maintenance worker, submitted their <br />resignations to the City. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved advertising these position vacancies. <br />LETTER OF COMPLAINT (RASTER) <br />Thomas and Janis Raster, 15227 Greene Avenue, submitted a letter to the City requesting reimbursement <br />for their inconvenience in detouring around the improvements being made to Oneka Lake Blvd. The <br />Council considered a letter drafted to the Rasters denying their claim. Councilman Haas was assured that <br />the City's Development Agreement with the developer provided adequate financial security that the <br />improvements were. installed to the. satisfaction of the City. <br />Haas made motion, Barnes seconded, to send the letter to Thomas and Janis Raster as drafted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />LETTER REQUESTING EAW (RASTER) <br />The Council considered a letter from Thomas and Janis Raster, 15227 Greene Avenue, requesting <br />Council require an Environmental Assessment Worksheet be performed for the Sweet Grass Meadows <br />development. Also considered was a letter drafted by the City Administrator in response to the Raster's <br />request. It was noted that an EAW would have to be done prior to preliminary plat approval. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to send the letter to Thomas and Janis Raster as drafted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REDUCTION IN LETTER OF CREDIT (WOODS OF BALD EAGLE) <br />Royal Oaks Realty requested that the City lower the letter of credit amount required for the Woods of <br />Bald Eagle subdivision to recognize work performed to -date. The City Engineer reviewed this request, <br />and recommended lowering the required letter of credit amount to $156,000. <br />Haas made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to approve reducing the letter of credit requirement to $156,000 <br />for the Woods of Bald Eagle development, as recommended by the City Engineer. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />TEMPORARY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (PAT DUNN) <br />Mr. Pat Dunn, a resident of Hugo, and employed by the City of Woodbury's Public Works Dept., has <br />agreed to temporarily maintain and service the City's sewer and water supply system, as the City goes <br />through the process of hiring a new maintenance supervisor. Mr. Dunn has agreed to perform the <br />necessary work for $15.00/hr. He was at the meeting to introduce himself to the Council. <br />
