City Council meeting of May 17, 1999 <br />Page 4 <br />Mayor Stotlzman requested that the ditch located about 300' south of Oneka Lake Boulevard be <br />identified on the plat. Bruce Kerber, representing North Suburban Development, verbally waived the <br />time deadline requirement for action on this development. <br />Barnes made motion, Stotlzman seconded, to table this matter until the meeting of June 7, 1999. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />BEAVER PONDS COST SHARING <br />The Council considered a report prepared by the City Administrator and the City Engineer regarding a <br />request by Oakwood Land Development for reimbursement for the oversizing of utilities in the Beaver <br />Ponds development. <br />Barnes made motion, Haas seconded, that the City send a letter to the developer stating that the City <br />agrees to pay $30,279 for oversizing sanitary sewer and watermains within the Beaver Ponds <br />development. The money will be paid at the time of termination of the project and escrow released. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CREEKVIEW PRESERVE COST SHARING <br />The considered the City Administrator's and City Engineer's reports on the request by Backes <br />Companies for reimbursement of their cost for oversizing public utilities in the development. The <br />watermain was placed along the east side of TH61 for future improvements to be made in the Peloquin <br />Industrial Park. Barnes requested that the minutes reflect that a portion of these oversizing costs be <br />charged to the Peloquin Industrial Park improvement project. <br />Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, that the City send a letter to the developer stating that the City <br />agrees to pay $90,900 for oversizing costs (watermain $60,700 and sanitary sewer $30,200) in the <br />Creekview Preserve development. The money will be paid at the time of termination of the project and <br />escrow released. <br />Voting AYE: Barnes, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />ABSTAINED: Haas <br />Motion Carried. <br />FINAL PLAT (CREEKVIEW PRESERVE 2ND ADDITION) <br />Mr. Dennis Backes has requested final plat approval for Creekview Preserve 2nd Addition. The City <br />Attorney has stated that this development will require new application to the City for preliminary plat <br />approval. The developer argues that the previous preliminary plat approval granted for phase 1 of the <br />development should extend to phase 2. The Council recently adopted an amendment to the City's <br />subdivision regulation allowing phased development of a subdivision, but this project started prior to <br />Council adoption of the new ordinance.
