City Council meeting of July 12, 1999 <br />Page 3 <br />medical benefits since she is covered by her spouse's policy; such an arrangement is not unusual in other <br />communities. Based on a previous wage analysis, her pay is in line with that of other employees in the <br />community, though other employees receive the benefit or health insurance coverage. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to table this request until July 19, 1999 at which time the <br />Council will consider an amendment to the City's Personnel Policy to allow for cash payment in lieu of <br />medical insurance coverage. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />STORMWATER TRUNK FEE ORDINANCE <br />This matter will be placed on the Council agenda for the meeting of July 19, 1999. <br />GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS LETTER OF COMPLAINT <br />The City received a letter of complaint from a resident who is affected by Hugo Good Neighbor Days. <br />He stated1is problems with parking and the negative impacts from consumption of too much alcohol. <br />As the City becomes more populated, and attendance at the event rises yearly, there has been some <br />thought about moving the event to a less populated location. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to forward a copy of the letter to the Hugo Lions Club to open <br />discussion on how to alleviate the problems. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ONEKA LAKE VIEW EAST (LANDSCAPING BERM) <br />The City Engineer, Tom Angus, and landscape architect, Laurie McRostie, will provide the Council with <br />a letter of recommendation on how to landscape the area between Oneka Lake Boulevard the cul-de-sac <br />in Oneka Lake View East. <br />CLAIMS FOR EHLERS AND ASSOCIATES <br />Councilman Haas questioned a bill from Rusty Fifield for preparation work done for a Council meeting, <br />in the amount of $1,110. The City Administrator discussed the claim with Mr. Fifield, with no <br />reduction recommended. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to pay the claim for Ehlers and Associates in the amount of <br />$1,110. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Petryk, Stotlzman <br />ABSTAINED: Haas <br />Motion Carried. <br />
