City Council meeting of January 20, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, directing City staff to begin process of justifying <br />raising the City's minimum standard for first floor elevation and report to the Council. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S CONTRACT <br />The Council's received a letter from the Washington County Sheriffs Department <br />regarding the use of Hugo's contract deputies to respond to calls in Forest Lake <br />Township. In addition, the City Administrator prepared a report regarding the Council's <br />options to provide police services for the community. <br />Leroux made motion, Arcand seconded, to table discussion of this matter until the budget <br />meeting of January 21, 1998. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FENWAY BOULEVARD REPORT <br />The Council considered the City Engineer's initial report for the feasibility of constructing <br />Fenway Boulevard, from 130th Street to 140th Street, and Fenway Avenue, from 140th <br />Street to 142nd Street. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-1, A <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING A REPORT AND CALLING FOR A HEARING ON <br />IMPROVEMENTS OF FENWAY BOULEVARD AND CONSIDER MAKING OF <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS. <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, directing that appraisals be done on the <br />properties benefiting from the project to determine the potential for making assessments. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SEWAGE TREATMENT ORDINANCE <br />The Council considered an ordinance adopting the recently -revised County Individual <br />Sewage Treatment Ordinance. The City had previously adopted a prior County ordinance <br />on the same subject. The new ordinance adjusts administrative procedures between <br />townships and the County, which do not impact the City, and updates the sewage <br />
