City Council meeting of April 6, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />FINAL PAYMENT (EMERGENCY WARNING SIRENS) <br />The Council reviewed the final construction payment voucher for the erection of two <br />emergency warning sirens in the City of Hugo. The City Engineer recommended $1,745 <br />as the final payment for this project. The sirens were tested and found acceptable on April <br />1, 1998. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the final payment for the sirens. <br />129TH STREET GUARDRAIL REPLACEMENT QUOTES <br />The Council considered quotes received by the City Engineer for replacement of the <br />guardrail along the bridges at 129th Street, north of Bald Eagle Lake. Replacement of <br />these guardrails was determined necessary at the City's annual bridge inspection. Staff <br />recommended that the Council let the contract to Central Landscaping, Inc., for $1,350. <br />Goiffon made motion, Leroux seconded, that the City contract with Central Landscaping <br />for the replacement of the guardrail at 129th Street in the amount of $1,3 50, and authorize <br />Ro-So Contracting to perform related street improvements, in the amount of $1,500. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SUNSET LAKE RIDGE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br />The City received a letter from Mary Ann Creager regarding the Development Agreement <br />between the City of Hugo and the Sunset Lake Ridge Development. As part of that <br />Agreement, the developer committed to paving Ingersoll Avenue, south from CR7 to the <br />end of the development, within six (6) months following issuance of the fourth building <br />permit for the project. The developer also committed to terminating the existing <br />landscaping business on the property on August 19, 1998. Mrs. Creager requested that <br />the City take action to insure that the developer meets the standards outlined in the <br />Agreement. Staff recommended the Council direct that no additional building permits be <br />issued for the development until such time as Ingersoll Avenue is improved as required. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, directing City staff to send a letter to Tom <br />Frampton outlining the guidelines of the Development Agreement, and to work with the <br />City Engineer in resolving the cul-de-sac problem. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT (RESOLUTION) <br />The Council considered a proposed amendment to the City's Comprehensive Plan stating <br />the City's intent not to expand the City's commercial and industrial zoning districts until <br />such time as municipal utilities are reasonably available to serve the areas being rezoned. <br />City Council meeting of April 6, 1998 <br />
