City Council meeting of June 15, 1998 <br />Page 5 <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the contract between the City of Hugo and Loeffel- <br />Engstrand for construction of the City's new Fire Hall, subject to successful purchase of the Roy Molitor <br />property. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PARKS CONMMSION ORDINANCE <br />The Council considered a proposed ordinance establishing a Parks, Recreation and Open Space <br />Commission for the City of Hugo. Hugo resident, Kathy Marier, stated her interest in serving on the <br />Commission; however, she felt that meetings every two months would be adequate. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule a public hearing for July 20, 1998, at 7:05PM, to <br />consider adoption of an ordinance establishing a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Staff was directed to place an ad in the local paper seeking Commission applicants. <br />COMPREHENSIVE STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN (WILLENBRING) <br />Mr. Pete Willenbring of WSB was unable to attend tonight's meeting to give the Council an update on the <br />City's Comprehensive Storm Water Management Plan and other water resource related projects. John <br />Waller addressed the Council regarding records at Washington County that he feels should be reviewed <br />by the City's engineering staff. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, directing staff to obtain copies of Washington County records <br />regarding Judicial Ditch 1, 2, and 3. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to schedule a special meeting for July 8, 1998, 7:30PM, at the <br />Rice Lake Park Building, to discuss the City's Comprehensive Storm Water Management Plan and related <br />issues. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JUNE 29,1998 MEETING <br />A special meeting of the Hugo City Council has been scheduled for 7:30PM on June 29, 1998, to consider <br />possible extension/alignment of 140th Street, west to Elmcrest Avenue or CR8. No Council action is <br />necessary. <br />MCES DISPOSAL SITE <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, authorizing the letter to Ken Bombach of Metropolitan Council <br />
