No formal action <br />was required. <br />129TH STREET UTILITIES REQUEST <br />The City had previously received a petition from residents along 129th Street requesting extension of <br />City water and sewer. The City Engineer submitted a preliminary report estimating the cost for such <br />extensions at $135,000. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing staff to contact petitioners indicating possible courses <br />of action and estimated costs. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />NO PARKING REQUEST FOR 129TH STREET <br />The City received a letter from Jim Kellison, 4394 129th Street, requesting that the City extend the NO <br />PARKING area along 129th Street, adjacent to the bridge crossing the outflow from Bald Eagle Lake. <br />The City Engineer reviewed this request stating that enforcement of existing signs would help the <br />situation. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing staff to identify areas for additional signs, and ask the <br />Sheriffs Office for additional patrol for enforcement of existing NO PARKING signs. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MAPPING REQUEST <br />The City Engineer requested that the City consider purchasing additional mapping from Mark Hurd; <br />specifically, that for 850 acres located in portions of sections 17, 18 and 19. This would fill in blank <br />areas within the City's 2020 urban development area. The fee for the mapping would $6,600, with an <br />additional cost of $2,500 for surveying, or approximately $7.85 per acre, plus required surveying time to <br />establish horizontal controls in the area. This information would be beneficial to the Water Resource <br />Engineer, Pete Willenbring, but to what degree was not known. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to table this request to allow time to contact Pete Willenbring to <br />determine his needs. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT INSPECTIONS <br />The City Council discussed inspection standards for the Fire Hall project. Inspections are to be <br />conducted by OSM, the City inspector, the electrical inspector, and the architect. Council member <br />Barnes felt it important that the City show a "presence" during construction and coordinate inspection <br />efforts. She also recommended the City Engineer review fire hall plans and specifications for site work, <br />
