City Council meeting of July 20, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />on the Board. The City had received no applications for appointment and adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda removed this item from future consideration. <br />TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT <br />The BCWD had requested that the City appoint a representative to serve on the Technical Advisory <br />Committee of the District to review and comment on proposed rules for the District. Staff <br />recommended that the City's Water Resource Engineer, Pete Willenbring, be appointed to represent the <br />City in this capacity. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved appointment of Pete Willenbring as <br />the City's representative on the BCWD's Technical Advisory Committee. <br />MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 6. 1998 <br />Barnes requested the minutes of July 6, 1998, be amended to reflect the following: 1. Preliminary plat approvt <br />of Beaver Ponds 2 & 3 be contingent upon a five acre parcel for park dedication being exclusive of wetlands. <br />Public improvements inspections of the fire hall include a recommendation the City Engineer review fire hall <br />plans and specifications for site work and City standard compatibility, and 3. the wording regarding the <br />transportation plan be changed to read "Washington County responded to the City's request that the County <br />cost -share in the development of a transportation study for the community...". <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the minutes as amended. <br />All aye. Motion carried <br />MOLITOR APPRAISAL AGREEMENT <br />Council reviewed an Agreement between the City of Hugo and Roy Molitor. Under its terms, the City <br />would pay Mr. Molitor up to $500 as partial reimbursement for his cost incurred in having his property <br />appraised for potential purchase by the City. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to approve the Appraisal Agreement between the City of Hugo <br />and Roy Molitor. <br />All aye. Motioned carried <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON ESTABLISHMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA AND <br />ADOPTION OF REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />Council considered the adoption of a redevelopment plan for Redevelopment Project Area # 1. Council <br />reviewed the plan with Rusty Fifield. Miron opened the public hearing at 7:17PM. Tom Jackson <br />questioned which parcels were included in the plan, and asked how tax increment financing would be <br />affected. Fifield responded by saying the area from the Bald Eagle Industrial Park to the Interstate <br />Lumber Company would be included in the plan, and TIF was not a factor in the plan. Miron closed <br />the public hearing at 7:26PM. <br />
