City Council meeting of July 20, 1998 <br />Page 3 <br />Barnes made motion, Miron seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-24, A RESOLUTION <br />APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO. 1 <br />AND THE ADOPTION OF A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AREA, with an amendment to <br />provide a map showing parcels included in this plan. <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING EDA TO ISSUE PUBLIC PROJECT REVENUE BONDS TO <br />FINANCE FIRE STATION PROJECT <br />Council considered a resolution requesting the City's EDA to issue public project revenue bonds to <br />finance construction of the proposed fire station for the community. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1998-25, A RESOLUTION <br />REQUESTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY TO ISSUE $1,165,000 PUBLIC <br />PROJECT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1998 (City of Hugo Lease With Option to Purchase Project). <br />VOTING AYE: Arcand, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Miron seconded, to recess the City Council meeting to allow for the Economic <br />Development Authority to meet to consider the project redevelopment plan and the potential bond <br />issue, at 7:45PM. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Miron reconvened the meeting of the City Council at 8: l OPM. <br />SECOND AMENDMENT TO VACANT LAND PURCHASE AGREEMENT (ROY <br />MOLITOR) <br />The City Attorney presented an amendment to the Vacant Land Purchase Agreement dated March 25, <br />1998, for property located at 13676 Fenway Avenue North. The amendment provides for two separate <br />closing dates on three separate parcels of land, the last one occurring no later than August 31, 1998. It <br />also prorates the amount due at each closing to total the purchase price of $1,112,000, and states the <br />assessment shall be deferred with no interest for the maximum time allowed by law or until the property <br />is either divided or sold. <br />Miron made motion, Jim seconded, to direct the City Water Engineer to determine the future use of the <br />property with the impacts of existing or additional wetlands, and to determine whether the drainage, if <br />corrected, would have any impact on it. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />
