City Council meeting of June 2, 1997
Page 3
Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to deny the rezoning request of Mike Kane to
rezone approximately two acres located at the northeast corner of T.H. 61 and C.R. 4
from agriculture to limited business, based on the Findings of Fact to be drafted by the
City Attorney.
All aye. Motion Carried.
LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION - THE END ZONE
Mr. Robert A. Kramarczyk, 1842 Colvin Ave., St. Paul, Minnesota, has applied for an On
Sale Liquor License and an On Sale Sunday Liquor License for his business known as the
End Zone, 13891 Forest Blvd. North. A background investigation of Mr. Kramarczyk has
been performed by the Washington County Sheriffs Office. Copies of necessary
insurance binders have been provided to the City. Because one of the owners of the
business has an outstanding matter with Ramsey County, the following was made:
Goiffon made motion, Leroux seconded, to table action on this matter until the City
Council meeting of July 7, 1997.
All aye. Motion Carried.
GLAMOS WIRE PRODUCTS
At the Council meeting of May 19, 1997, the City Council considered an agreement
between the City and the Glamos Family Limited Partnership, Inc., to allow the
construction of a 30,000 sq ft building on the Glamos' property with parking, and other
improvements being delayed until such time as the public street serving the property has
been improved. The Glamos' objected to the agreement, and based on the request of their
attorney, the matter was tabled until tonight's meeting. City Attorney Galler stated that he
has had discussions with the Glamos attorney, and it was his opinion that it would take
considerable time and negotiation to come to some kind of agreement with the Glamos
family. Rather than amass more legal fees for the City, the following motion was made:
Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to notify the Glamos family and/or attorney that
they have three options available to them regarding their request for site plan approval:
1. Sign the Agreement, as proposed.
2. Comply with existing City ordinances.
3. Face denial of their application.
All aye. Motion Carried.
