City Council meeting of December 2, 1996 <br />Page 3 <br />��A -PI' p i <br />Mr. Frank Puleo, 6375 165th Street, has requested to amend his SUP on the <br />property at the above address to allow the selling of agricultural produce and <br />horticultural products not grown on the site, horticultural supplies, decorative <br />floral items, Christmas trees/wreaths, and related Christmas decorations. The <br />property is 40 acres in size, and zoned agriculture. The PC considered this request <br />on November 20, 1996, and recommended approval of the amended SUP. <br />Council member Banes felt that Mr. Puleo's increased activities warranted a more <br />in-depth review of use of the property to determine if a commercial zoning would <br />be more appropriate than agriculture. <br />Barnes made motion, Goiffon seconded, to table Mr. Puleo's request until the <br />Council meeting of December 16, 1996 to allow staff time to review activities on <br />Mr. Puleo's property. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VARIANCEADEA <br />Mr. Dan Nadeau is requesting a 27' setback variance for a new sign at 13997 <br />Forest Blvd. The proposed sign is subject to T.H. 61 right-of-way, and the 32' <br />sign ordinance setback The combined setback would place the sign 85' from the <br />highway, and granting the request would place the sign 53' from T.H. 61. <br />Leroux made motion, Nfiron seconded, to approve the request of Dan Nadeau for <br />a 27' sign setback for Nadeau's Market, 13997 Forest Blvd., subject to the <br />following condition: <br />The applicant, at his own cost, shall move the sign to a location designated by the <br />City Engineer, if reasonably required, to accommodate the construction of a future <br />service road, taking into consideration concerns related to safety and public <br />welfare. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />REZONING (WALLER) <br />Margaret K. Waller, 14310 Homestead Avenue, has requested a rezoning of her <br />property from agriculture to long term agricultural, in order to qualify the property <br />for the State of Minnesota's Agricultural Preserve Program.
