City Council meeting of March 6, 1995 <br />Page 5 <br />rewrote the resolution to chanq_e street names in Oneka Lakes subdivision <br />to more closely align with the City's Uniform Street Naming and Numbering <br />System. <br />LaValle made motion, Leroux; seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1995-4, A <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING STREET NAMES IN ONEKA ESTATES SUBDIVISION. <br />VOTING AYE: Goiffon, LaValle, Leroux:, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />PETITION FOR PARKING RESTRICTIONS (140TH STREET) <br />Residents abutting Lake Plaisted and South School Section Lake have <br />requested that 140th Street and Kerry Court be posted with NO PARKING and <br />NO BOAT LAUNCHING signs. This matter was reviewed by the City Engineer, <br />and stated that there was plenty of site distance on 140th Street in the <br />winter, but that spring access to the lake may be detrimental to the <br />road's shoulder. Councilman Leroux felt that at this time that there was <br />no problem, and the City would be inviting additional trouble by limiting <br />fishing activities at this time. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, to acknowledge receipt of the <br />petition, and send a letter indicating Council and engineering comments. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1995 SEALCOATING PROJECT <br />The Washington County Department of Public Works requested that the City <br />provide them with a list of City streets to be sealcoated under the <br />County's 1995 sealcoat project. The Council reviewed a recommendation by <br />the City Administrator for programmed street maintenance during 1995. <br />Goiffon made motion, Leroux: seconded, authorizing the City enter into an <br />agreement with Washington County to include 9.4 miles of City roadway in <br />the County sealcoat project, at an estimated cost of $60,000. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ROGER AND JEAN SCHADT (BOY SCOUTS) <br />Roger Schadt addressed the Council regarding the Boy Scouts' use of the <br />old school house, as well as refurbishment of the building. Mr. Schadt <br />stated that they will be removing the two garages some time this Spring, <br />and the Scouts' insurance would cover liability. <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, authorizing Boy Scout Troop #151 to <br />remove the two garages under the direction of the City's building <br />official, and that Mr. Schadt provide the City with a copy of their <br />insurance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
